There will be a Chemistry Test on February 11th. Students are recommended to focus their studies on the following areas:
- chemical vs. physical change
- elements
- compounds
- atoms (protons, neutrons and electrons)
- metals, nonmetals and metalloids
- scientific method
*Students do not need to memorize the periodic table

Newbery and Young Readers Choice Awards Individual Novel Project
This term, students are choosing their own books to read for a novel study. Everyone can choose a Newbery Award Winner or a YRCA book. Both of these awards represent the best in young adult fiction. All students will be meeting with genre groups to discuss novel elements and then will work on an individual creative project.
Please find and bring a copy of your book to class on Wednesday.

Students will be viewing and interacting with the VAG's "Embracing Canada" exhibit that features the Group of Seven.

Today we were greeted by a visitor named Lucy. She is Ms. Park's 2 month old Golden / Labrador Retriever. Our class were great hosts and really enjoyed the visit.
